2025 Mount Washington Valley Mr. Crowned
Eight incredible men took to the stage on Sunday, March 16th, helping to raise more than $33,000 for local non-profits. Presented by Mount Washington Valley Promotions, the collaborative fund-raising Mount Washington Valey Mr. event was hosted by Theater in the Wood, in Intervale. Each man was scored in Interview, Runway and Public Speaking by a panel of judges. In addition, each was asked to collect funds for his chosen non-profit, those figures also factoring into the final score.
At the end of the pageantry, Jordan Ahnquist, representing The Barnstormers Theatre, was crowned 2025 Valley Mr. and earned a donation of $500.00 in addition to the funds he raised in his Ca$h Can. Quintin Plourde, represented MWV Soccer Club, claiming the Runner-up. Elwood McLlarky, representing The SAFE Programs was the top fund-raiser. The other contestants were Raymond Gallant – representing Way Station, Ryan Shepard – representing Conway Area Humane Society, David Smolen – representing the Gibson Center for Senior Services, Joshua Snell – representing Jen’s Friends Cancer Foundation and Bob Wallstrom – representing M&D Playhouse.
2022-23 Mount Washington Valley Ms., Barbara Theriault, served as emcee of the event, with 2023-24 Mount Washington Valley Mr., Dan Lavigne, assisted by Miss Mount Washington Valley Teen Runner-Up Cheyenne Sheehan, passing the crown to the new king. Entertainment was provided by Daisy Smith, Olivia Tetreault, Aeris Swift, and The Sound Advisors. Meeting the men as judges were Bette Muise, Kelly Schwaner and Kelly McGray. Local businesses donated “swag” items and prizes for all of the participants so everyone who participated, and their causes, were winners in the end.
Event organizer and Valley Promotions Executive Director, Lisa DuFault, was pleased with the outcome. “It was an amazing collaboration! These men had so much fun, and were so much fun while representing their chosen organizations”, she stated. “They truly helped and supported one another before and during the event, making new friends and wonderful connections”.
Ahnquist is the 7th Valley Mr. to be crowned, following Matt Parker, George Cleveland, Nate Sawyer, Christopher Bellis, Clay Groves and Dan Lavigne. The Valley Ms. & Mr. events have raised more than $180,000 for local organizations since started in 2012.
